I joined NIS in Year 9 and was immediately surrounded by very kind and cheerful people, both students and teachers. Ms Natasha, Ms Chan and many other teachers really made my time in NIS unforgettable, and I am grateful to have made so many lasting friendships.

I joined NIS in Year 9 and was immediately surrounded by very kind and cheerful people, both students and teachers. Ms Natasha, Ms Chan and many other teachers really made my time in NIS unforgettable, and I am grateful to have made so many lasting friendships.

I was educated in Russian until 2019 but NIS really helped me to learn in English and after 2.5 years I earned top grades in my Cambridge IGCSEs. Outside lessons I enjoyed helping to organise an Open Day, and being part of our World Scholars’ Cup team which went to Beijing in 2019. I am currently taking a Foundation course in Computer Science at Asia Pacific University) and what is surprising is that I have to do a lot of research, collaborative work and academic writing, and communication and leadership skills from my English lessons are as helpful in my current studies as the Maths, Physics and Computer Science that I knew I would need.
