Mr. Yap Haw Sim is a dynamic academic leader with a strong educational background and a passion for excellence. Holding both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, he has established a robust foundation for his successful career. In 2007, Mr. Yap embarked on an extraordinary journey as a mathematics lecturer for renowned programmes such as the Cambridge A-Level and Australian Matriculation. His dedication and expertise have led to remarkable achievements, with his students consistently attaining outstanding results, including winning the prestigious Top in the World Award for Mathematics.
As his career progressed, Mr. Yap assumed pivotal roles such as Head of Department, Deputy Academic Director, and ultimately an Academic Director. Recognized for his visionary mindset and forward-thinking approach, he spearheaded the development of future-ready diploma programs with innovative curricula. Moreover, Mr. Yap played a crucial role in coaching and mentoring teachers, equipping them with effective pedagogical strategies and nurturing their professional growth.
Demonstrating his commitment to educational quality, Mr. Yap actively engaged with the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) as a Certified Quality Assurance Officer in Higher Education.
