Principal
Ms. Gan Chui Peng

Ms Gan graduated with a B.A.(Hons) from the University of Malaya in 1970 and then went on to pursue Diploma in Education at the University of Singapore.

Having taught 10 years of Geography and English in St David’s High School , an all boys mission school, she joined the Malay Women Teachers’ College (MWTC) as a Social Science lecturer.

She served as the Head of the Social Sciences Department in both the Kuala Terengganu Teachers’ College and MWTC. In 1985, she graduated with a Master’s in Education from the University of Malaya.

Then, she joined the Teachers Training Division of the Ministry of Education where she was involved in holding courses for new lecturers and organizing panels to write syllabus for the colleges. Her 14 years with the Teachers Training Division has enlarged her vision of primary and secondary education, particularly the special needs of establishing an environment for effective teaching and learning. Her duties included interviewing and training of pre –service and in-service teachers.

From 1995 until her retirement, she was the Principal of Melaka Methodist Girls’ Secondary School . For her immense contributions to education, she was awarded the AMN award in 1997.

Currently she is the Principal of Nilai International School. She is committed to set the ethos of the school where children are loved, guided to glow and grow into respectable and responsible citizens, echoing the motto of the school
“LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE”
Deputy Principal
Mr. Wong Kam Piew
Mr. Wong Kam Piew was appointed as deputy principal of NIS in April, 2011.
Prior to his appointment at NIS, Mr.Wong was the principal of SMK Bukit Mewah, Seremban. He began his teaching career after graduating from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a BA (Hons) Edu in 1977.During the course of his career, he has studied and obtained M.Edu from Universiti Malaya, Dip.TESOL from RELC, Singapore and Cert. in Resource Management from University of South Australia.

Mr. Wong spent most of his career as lecturer in teacher’s training colleges before he was appointed as school principal. Active in several sporting associations, he is also serving on the board of governors of primary Chinese schools.
